Why a stocked breakroom keeps people on site
In a suite or a business park where coffee and lunch both mean a drive, the breakroom tends to be where people eat, refill a cup and take a short break between tasks. When the nearest latte means getting in the car, a kitchen that is actually stocked keeps people on site and lets a fifteen-minute break stay fifteen minutes.
Elk Grove Commercial Cleaning takes over the buying and the shelving. Whoever in your office has been the volunteer snack buyer, with the weekend warehouse-club trip, the expense receipts and the water cases hauled in from the trunk, gets that time back.
Three questions before the first order
- What does the team go through in a typical week? We look at what empties first, what sits untouched and what people keep asking for.
- Who needs something specific? Gluten-free crackers, vegan snacks, nut-free choices, decaf or drinks with less sugar are written onto the order sheet the shopper carries.
- What can the kitchen hold? Fridge space, cabinet depth and counter room decide how much comes in per trip.
The product budget is a monthly figure you pick. Staples are bought on every trip, and the rest of that figure goes to rotating picks. If a month runs tight, the rotating picks give way first, so the coffee and water never do.
Restock day, start to finish
- Count what is left on the shelves and in the fridge.
- Pull anything near or past its date and bring older stock forward.
- Fill the fridge, cabinets and coffee station to the amounts on your sheet.
- Break down the cartons and carry them out.
- Clean the room: counters and tables wiped, sink cleared, fridge shelves wiped down, microwave cleaned inside, trash and recycling taken out.
Restocking happens inside your workspace, so the people who do it are background-checked, the same as our cleaning crews.
What usually ends up on the sheet
- Coffee bar: ground or whole-bean coffee, pods for the brewer you already own, tea bags, creamer, sweeteners and stirrers
- Fridge: still and sparkling water, sodas, juice, iced tea and sports drinks
- Shelf snacks: chips, crackers, nuts, trail mix, fruit cups, granola or protein bars and a few lighter options
- Serveware: hot cups with lids, plates, bowls, napkins, utensils and a roll of counter towels
Fresh fruit, yogurt and milk can go on the sheet if trips are frequent enough that nothing spoils in the fridge. Toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap and trash liners, for the restrooms and the kitchen sink and bins alike, come from a separate service, our janitorial supplies.
Alongside our office cleaning
If we also clean your building, the evening office cleaning crew finishes the kitchen, and restock day is planned around that crew’s schedule so the two never overlap. Both run on one account, and the same contact hears about a spill, a fridge that needs clearing out or a request for more sparkling water.
If your own staff or another vendor handles the cleaning, the pantry service still stands by itself.
Good fits in Elk Grove
Office suites with one shared kitchen, coworking floors where coffee and water come with the desk, medical and dental offices with a staff room down the hall from the exam rooms, and stores or showrooms whose floor staff take their breaks in a back room. A small office with a single fridge and a big floor with two kitchens both work; the sheet just gets longer, and each kitchen gets its own column on it so nothing is shared by accident.
What the fee depends on
The groceries come out of the monthly figure you choose. Our service fee depends on:
- People: how many the kitchen feeds
- Kitchens: one room or several on different floors
- Pace: how quickly the shelves empty between trips
- Grade: everyday staples or premium coffee and specialty snacks
- Trips: how often we shop and restock
A few useful answers
Common questions.
How do you deal with snacks and drinks near their date?
Every restock starts with a date check. Anything past date comes out, and an item that keeps expiring is bought in smaller amounts or dropped from the sheet.
Can you stock extra for a team lunch or a client meeting?
Yes. Give your contact a heads-up and the next trip brings extra drinks, plates and napkins, counted against that month’s budget.
Who approves what goes on the order sheet?
You do. We suggest staples, you sign off on every item, and you can add, swap or remove anything before the next trip.
Is a cleaning contract required?
No. Pantry restocking can stand on its own, though pairing it with our cleaning puts both on one account and one calendar.
